1967 Martin D-35 that had been converted to a D-45 by Mike Longworth, the legendary Martin historian and inlay master. This guitar delivers a big, beautiful sound and is so much fun to play.
All inlay and binding around body is in excellent condition, top shows moderate checking overall and pick scratches around pick guard; various dings, scrapes and dents otherwise. Gorgeous book-matched Brazilian rosewood back and sides with desirable straight grain. Back surprisingly shows minimal wear with some light buckle worming and various little dings and scratches. Strap button hole present on treble-side heel. Pick guard is lifting slightly as pictured, non original saddle and bridge pins.
Bridge has been professionally re-glued and a small piece of maple has been added underneath bridge pins to help them stay secure. Non original frets show minimal wear, neck shows slight relief and delivers ultimate playability. All fingerboard/headstock inlay is also in excellent condition. Engraved Grover tuners are the perfect finishing touch on this masterpiece of a guitar. Comes with original Martin purple-lined hard case.
